The title of Master Templar was one of the highest obtainable ranks within the Templar Order, and those who held this title were presumed to have reached the peak of their training as Templar. The rank garnered a large amount of respect from other members within the Order. A Master Templar was meant to embody the Order's principles: to uphold the Order's rumor and for all that they stood for, not to share the secrets of the Order – and do so until their death
